We are looking for a dedicated Office Coordinator with Health and Safety skills to join our Christchurch office and become a core part of the office culture. As part of our nationwide Support Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the office operations align closely with our broader business objectives.

Cook Costello is a New Zealand owned company with more than 40 years' experience of providing Land Development, Design and Engineering Consulting. Operating from Whangarei, Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch our technical team of more than 50 serve local and national clients.
About the role
Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating office activities to ensure a smooth, safe and efficient workplace, while also maintaining and enhancing our health and safety protocols. This position requires a proactive individual with excellent organisational skills and a strong commitment to helping others.
We need you to be a friendly and effective communicator who possess strong problem-solving skills and is highly proficient with Microsoft Office, including some basic IT troubleshooting. You should have excellent intuition and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with a wide range of people. You are able to prioritise your time effectively, exercise a high level of care and diligence with your work.Â
This is an on-site 5-day per week role within an environment committed to safety, sustainable growth and professional development for all team members. You have the expertise to ensure a professional multidisciplinary consultancy office runs efficiently.
Key Responsibilities for the role will include
Support daily office operations.
Proficiency in Microsoft tools.
Adept problem-solving skills, particularly with some basic IT support.
Manage Health and Safety protocols across our offices, promoting a safe work environment and ensuring compliance.
Foster clear and empathetic communication.
Demonstrating professionalism and decisiveness in resolving issues.

What we need from you

Experience in a Health and Safety role, along with previous Office Coordination or Administrative experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including SharePoint.
Experience and knowledge of WorkflowMax (WFM) is desirable.
A valid work visa.
A full NZ driver’s license.
