Our Services

  • 01.

    Land Damage Assessment

We assess land and slope damage around buildings, including settlement, cracking, erosion and landslides caused by heavy rainfall or earthquakes. Our engineers identify what has moved, why it occurred, and whether there is an ongoing risk, providing clear advice on safety, remediation and next steps.

  • 02.

    Structural Assessment

We assess damage to buildings, including foundations, floors, walls and other structural elements. Our engineers determine whether damage is structural or cosmetic, explain the implications for safety and repair, and provide practical recommendations to support effective reinstatement planning.

  • 03.

    Insurance Reports & Claim Support

We prepare independent engineering reports to support insurance and NHC claims. Our reports clearly document observed damage, likely causes and recommended actions, using evidence-based analysis to assist claim discussions, reduce uncertainty and support informed decision-making.

  • 04.

    Land & Building Monitoring

Where ground movement or damage needs to be tracked over time, we provide land and building monitoring services to identify change and manage risk. This may include surveying, movement monitoring and coordination with other specialists to inform safe and appropriate reinstatement.

  • 05.

    Subsurface Issues (voids, sinkholes)

Not all ground damage is visible at the surface. We investigate subsurface issues such as voids, soft ground and sinkholes that may affect land or building stability. Using targeted testing and geophysical methods, we reduce uncertainty and inform safe repair or risk mitigation.

  • 06.

Expert Witness & Dispute Resolution Support

We provide independent technical advice to support insurance and legal dispute resolution. Our engineers assess damage, explain technical issues clearly, and prepare objective, evidence-based reports to help parties understand the issues and progress resolution. Selected engineers are members of the NZCRS panel.
