About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Structural Engineer with up to 5 years of professional experience to join our growing Christchurch team. You will work on a diverse mix of residential, commercial and infrastructure projects, supported by experienced senior and Chartered Engineers.

Your work will span concept and detailed design, analysis, documentation and construction-phase support, with opportunities to collaborate closely with architects, contractors and other disciplines within our integrated team.


What You Will Do

• Undertake structural analysis and design for timber, steel, reinforced concrete and masonry structures

• Prepare design calculations, drawings and reports to a high professional standard

• Undertake Detailed Seismic Assessments (DSA) of existing buildings

• Assist with site inspections, structural assessments and construction monitoring

• Work alongside senior engineers on complex and multidisciplinary projects

• Contribute to practical, innovative and buildable design solutions

About You

What We Are Looking For

  • BE (Hons) or      equivalent in Structural Engineering, Washington Accord degree.

  • 2–5 years of New      Zealand structural design experience

  • Proficiency in      software such as ETABS, SAP2000, SpaceGass.

  • Sound understanding      of NZ building codes and standards (NZS 1170, 3101, 3404, 1720 etc.)

  • Strong communication      and teamwork skills

  • A      proactive approach to learning and progress toward Chartered Professional      Engineer (CPEng) status
